After beginning her dance career at the age of 8 with Waterdown Dancers Inc, Miss Julie quickly fell in love with a variety of styles in dance including; Hip hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, Musical theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acro. After competing with WDI for eleven years she continued her dance career throughout post-secondary, teaching dance for Wilfrid Laurier University’s athletic department and competing with their award-winning Hip Hop Crew; ALIAS.
Julie has had the opportunity to train with many reputable dancers including tWitch, Allison Holker and Jaja Vankova, to name a few. She has also competed in prestigious competitions including OUCH, BYOB, North Side Story and World of Dance.
After leaving ALIAS in her university career, Julie went on to compete with a Hamilton Dance Crew; The ARTillery only to further her love for dance and Hip Hop. Over her teaching career she has won many choreography awards and recognition for her creative and out-of-the-box choreography and takes pride in producing art on stage.
Julie continues to grow as a dancer, choreographer, educator and studio owner/director. Through many different channels she strives to create a safe and positive place for students to learn and grow, both personally and artistically.
