Covid-19 Protocols and Procedures
Waterdown Dancers Inc. is committed to taking the necessary steps for a safe return to the studio. We ensure that the health of every student and their family are at the forefront in every decision we make. Please see below for a complete outline of our safety protocols during this unprecedented time!
BEFORE COMING TO DANCE:
1) pre-screening at home before coming to dance with the following questions:
Have you travelled outside the country in the past 14 days?
Have you been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms:
Fever
New onset of cough
Worsening chronic cough
Shortness of breath
Difficulty breathing
Sore throat
Difficulty swallowing
Decrease of loss of sense of taste or smell
Chills
Headaches
Unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches (myalgias)
Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
Pink eye (conjunctivitis)
Runny nose or nasal congestion without other known cause
2) Please come dressed and ready for class – kids cannot get changed during classes and must stay in the same dance clothes for the duration of the night. Convertible ballet tights are ideal for going from ballet to Acro, otherwise ballet tights can be worn on the outside of the leotard with shorts on top or bare legs and just the black leotard is allowed.
3) Washrooms are for emergencies only right now – we ask that students use the washroom before coming to dance. If the bathroom is needed, staff will be cleaning the washroom after each use. Studio 1 uses the bathroom behind the change room and studio 3 and 4 will use the main building bathroom.
